It seems fairly obvious to me that the folks who spend $3,500 to "dump" it are making an emotional, not a practical decision. That was probably the approach that got them into their timeshare to begin with. Buying a timeshare should only occur for financial reasons after learning as much as possible. Those who approach it that way tend to obrtain a great vacation every year at far less than hotel prices.
