We have been going to Waterside for almost 20 years. There are so many activities poolside....Both for kids and adults. Learn how to make She Crab Soup. Sing some karaoke. Life size Chess Game! Activities directors around every day to facilitate different activities. Root beer floats or Margaritas for those over 21. All different crafts available daily, so something to do, even if you get a stray thunderstorm. Even if forecast says 90% rain, you may never see a drop on your spot of the island! One year my daughter had her arm in a cast and couldn't go to the beach. Activities director showed up to our door with a plethora of crafts to keep her busy for a month! We were only there a week. :) Movie nights and rainy day crafts were in the Registration building. But very few rainy days, as I said, in our 20 years of HHI vacationing. Waterside is by far, our favorite resort, followed closely by Blue Water for when we got a little older. Loads of Bars and Restaurants are a stones throw from Waterside. We also like to take a short drive to the see a Broadway level show at the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina Theatre which is about 5 minutes from Waterside!
