[Q=ckokinda] We are considering using points to stay in the penthouse unit. Has anyone ever stayed in it or seen this unit? is there a penthouse in each bldg? Is the PH the same sq footage as a regular 2 BDR? We are trying to decide if it is worth the extra points[/Q] Are you using DC points or MR points, as that may make a difference in your decision regarding room priority by MKO? The MKO penthouses are the same floor plan as all other units, except that they have higher ceilings and there are no units above them (as the buildings are stair-stepped, not all penthouse units are on the highest floor). There are penthouse units in each of the 3 buildings. Higher floors are reserved for Legacy MKO owners, then DC points owners, then Marriott exchangers, and on down the line to revenue stays. If you are using MR points, then you may want to pay the extra for the penthouse so that you don't get a palm tree or parking lot view. Regardless of your room, Ko Olina Beach Club is beautiful (pools, grounds, etc.). Good luck.
