Re: Wyndham timeshare any way to stop the contract?

[Q=sues731]It's been paid off for a super long time, but I'm sick of paying the monthly maint fees etc, for something that is totally useless. I know it has no value, and don't expect $ for it, but-- I have super good credit, and that's important. I live in the US. If I just stop paying, would they seriously come after me? How can I end this besides faking my own death? (jk)[/Q] Have you checked out Wyndham's Ovation program? There's a pinned thread in the Timeshare Companies forum with information about this. Wyndham is taking back a select, limited number of units that are paid off and have the maintenance fees up to date. That would probably work better than just stopping payments. If Wyndham decides to not take it back, you can try listing your unit for sale or giveaway. Just do not go contacting any of these companies or law firms that claim they can get you out of your timeshare.
