My contract clearly states what the maintenance fees are. If an owner purchased 2 weeks around the 80,000 price tag as we did that tells me they bought pre-construction as prices increased for both the unit and the maintenance fees as the development progressed. Our maintenance fees are about 2400.00 and started out at 2000.00. If someone purchased early on and they owe 4000.00 in maintenance that sounds like 2 years of maintenance fees. Try not paying your property tax in the US for 2 years on a home that is paid for and see before a tax sale is levied against the owner.
