Beach at Harborside

How close is the beach to the villas at Harborside? Our family will be there in Feb. and we prefer the beach to pools.

The beach is a bit of a schlep although the shuttles are quite convenient. You will walk through the hotels to get to the beach. We have found that it's easiest to take the shuttle to the Beach Towers and walk through the hotel to the beach entrance.

When you go to the beach at Atlantis, which is so easy with shuttles leaving Harborside every few minutes, bring a change of clothes so you don't walk around wet all day. The changing rooms are very secure,clean, and upscale.

How do you go about making reasturant reservations on line- for Christmas week and which reasturants are worth eating at? Is it necessary to grab a spot at the beach early in the morning?

We just returned from a week at the Harborside, our first time there. I found it a bit inconvenient to have to get "dressed" to walk back through the hotel lobbies to catch the shuttles back. Especially with kids, we just wanted to get back to the room. I would like to see them provide a way to take the shuttles to and from the hotels without requiring the walk through the lobbies.
