Buying, Renting, and Selling Timeshares

Older Historical Data to determine price???

Mar 03, 2008

I am planning on renting my Marriott Timerlodge 2BR timeshare for the week of the Legends Reno-Tahoe Open golf tournament, 7/27/2008 through 8/3/2008, but don't know how to price it. I know this timeshare is impacted and filled with celebrities during this time, and commands more than normal, but I can't seem to find rental history to confirm this. Is there a way in Redweek to go back to last year and see what this property was renting for during the same golf tournament?

Sorry to be such a nut about it, but I want to make sure I price things properly. I want to be fair in my pricing for this time period.

Thanks for your help.

Kurt I don't really understand where you think all these stars go to Timeshare resorts! Some might and bring their families but I can tell you this, many stay at Harrah's and some at other casino hotels and most people don't even know there in the Hotel suites!

There are many homes owned by other famous people around the lake and many stay there too.

I know for years that Harrah's has lake front homes and moutain homes just for stars to stay in and have for years.

When you state stars I am guessing you just mean some golfers on the tour which in most cases isn't that big of a deal.

We own a couple weeks at the Ridge Tahoe and have only heard of a few stars staying because they brought their whole family up.

Hi Kurt,

We don't have statistics on what weeks rented for since we aren't involved in the actual rental process. You can look at what is currently listed for this resort and go from there. You can always raise or lower your price at any time.

Thanks, Marty
