RE: sheraton/Vistana/Marriott

Hello,

We own at the Sheraton Vistana Resort in Orlando. On a recent visit, we were told that basically since we bought from an "outside" contract, Marriott did not recognize us as a true Sheraton/Vistana owner and that we would have to "move" our unit to Marriott points at the cost of 12K. Needless to say, we did not do it. So very disappointed to know that we are like an "orphan" of sorts, still paying our maintenance fees, but not being able to exchange with Marriott etc. Can only use our unit during the time we bought, etc. Seems pretty unfair to me. Of course, we can't even rent it out, goes without saying.  Any advice? Beth Ann King
