David Wally’s Ownership - family and friends

Hi, I’ve reached the point where I don’t want to pay 1000 USD to get out of my 2 bedroom lock off Dillon timeshare (that’s all paid for long ago). I have had this since around 2008 or 2009. I have asked friends and family and no one understands the benefit of taking it over for the mere price of the transfer for family and friends that Holiday Inn (or whatever they call themselves now) is offering as the best option. I believe they said it’s around 100-200 range only and that addresses changing all the paperwork. Any ideas on how I can transfer this benefit (the timeshare) without having to forfeit it for 1000 USD?
