One more thing... My friends stayed at The Royal Haciendas last week. They own a beach front penthouse. Eventually, there will be a walking path that will take you in to Playa by foot, but it is not yet completed. It isn't too far from Playa, but I think you'd have to take a taxi at this point to get there.
