New owners of timeshare Pueblo Bonito Sunset

[Q=kimd608]Is it realistic to think that we can rent out out timeshare for double the activation fee as we were told at purchase?[/Q] Definitely not. As Don P said, most of the things said at these sales presentations are lies. Sorry to hear that you shelled out a bunch of money based on their lies. Sadly, many Mexican timeshares are a dime a dozen for rentals. You would be hard-pressed to even get back in maintenance fees for a rental. The best thing you can do is probably try to make use of what you have. The sales people might have referred you to some third-party rental company that says it will rent out your unit (for a lot of money) if you pay them some sort of fee like advertising fee or marketing fee, etc. Don' get suckered in by these.
