we rented a unit and the owners sent us a contract that they wrote up detailing the unit, money and week and we signed it with half the money. They then contacted the resort which issued a guest receipt in our name. when we received the confirmation from the resort we sent the rest of the money. You have to ba a little trusting and have good open communication between the owners and renters. It worked out great, and we enjoyed the resort!
