Please go to your credit card and request a charge back! They will ask you details about the purchase and why you feel you shouldn't be responsible. I would cite specifics about the inability to communicate with the organization to cancel the transaction, with multiple attempts being made. The credit card will do their piece on research and generally side with the consumer (you).

This happened to me in 1998 when I originally signed with them. I instantly changed my mind, contacted my CC to request a charge back. Royal Holiday inevitably wanted our business and sold us a membership for much MUCH less. I am nearing the end of my 30 year and am curious to see what others are experiencing!
