I will echo JayJay's comments but add this warning. Since you think that your timeshare is worth half of what you originally paid, you're making yourself an easy target for scammers.
They'll tell you that they can quickly and easily sell your timeshare for well above market value and then you'll think that the upfront fee of $1000, or so, to market and sell your timeshare is a "bargain". That's when they nab you.
Try to find legitimate resale websites as to what your timeshare is worth on the resale market. And that means what they're actually selling for and not what they're listing for.
