Re: Can't even give them one star (by Mary A.):

Go back and read the previous 16 pages of postings and it will give you a lot of information. However, if you cannot make a court date, I would do 2 things: First I would contact John Rogers(I think that is right - it's been a while) and play "Let's make a deal" to try and get out of your contract for a lesser sum. It will work best if there is a hardship like a divorce, loss of job, or some reason there is no money to pay. I don't know how much you owe, but I got out for $1200 that I offered them(the board of directors) via email. Second, if that doesn't work, you need to contact the court and try to get it postponed, or ask what your alternatives are, until you can appear. If you just don't appear, they will probably be awarded a default judgement against you and then they can take any means necessary to get their money(garnish wages, lien on your property, etc.). I don't know if a default judgement let's you out of the contract though. Believe me, the Henrico courts and the Virginia Beach courts are used to Land 'Or suits. There have been hundreds of them. Maybe a picket outside their offices, like a flash mob, could be arranged.(Just thinking out loud). While I got out of my contract I've still tried to help others because I think we were all taken advantage of.
