I would call resort involved directly! If you have name of owner, check on his availability, etc. I rented a week at my resort by allowing renter to contact resort directly in order to pay fees, etc. I just provided each others' info and let them finalize it. No need to be a middle-man...
\that fee does not make sense....The cheapest, perhaps, same fee per day!!!
