I have had good experience renting from timeshare owners here. I have been able to negotiate the cost for the entire week or rent only what you need. Everybody won't do that but as a timeshare owner myself, I will sometimes rent one of my units to pay my maintenance fees, so thats what most owners do. Be sure to read the contract carefully and don't pay any upfront fees.
