Some will and some won't. It's easy to say they should take it back but when they do, that's a loss of maintenance fees coming in. That means the other owners at the resort have to reluctantly and unhappily pick up the costs.
And yes, the resort can try to resell a unit that is deeded back but it's not that easy. Why do you think they use the tactics they do to sell units?
