The scam works by making excuses until the time has expired for you to dispute the charge on your credit card. These scammers are good at what they do. They know that if they fly under the radar the authorities won't shut them down unless a lot of people complain to the right agencies.
One more time: NEVER PAY ANYONE MONEY UPFRONT THAT CLAIMS THEY CAN GET YOU OUT OF YOUR CONTRACT !!!
I have been repeating that statement in the forums for many years now and I guarantee if you follow those instructions you will not get ripped off by these scammers.
