Interesting, as Canadians have the same problems as you getting a reasonable resale value. None of the Canadian branches permits the Ovation program to facilitate resales, as Wyndham believes there is no resale market here. So those who want to sell and move on have a serious problem. We are STUCK with a permanent liability and no way to recoup our expenditures. For those too old to use the property or trade value, they have a difficult choice: default and face the Courts as bad debtors, default and lose the property to debt but still have a blemished credit rating, or keep paying. Same for their estate when they die as this is a liability to the estate that cannot be transferred away from the beneficiaries. Nasty. Shell and Wyndham have been especially uncooperative, but all the big players are the same. They see the obligation as stopping at the sales desk; their business model does not include resale or service to their owners. They make big bucks, and we are the guppies at the bottom of the food chain. BE CAREFUL.
