Hola!!

First contact the resort directly and ask them to take it back . Make sure you get in touch with the person that handles the titles . Explain your situation that you need to get out of your contract and that it is in their best interest to work with you rather than have you transfer it to someone who might not be able to pay for future maintenance fees . I got rid of two timeshares in 2011 that way . Apparently I was convincing . I stated to them that I was going to get them out of my name with or without their help .

If you feel you need the assistance of an attorney contact one where you live and not someone you " heard about " on the internet . There are many phony attorney scams out there .

I made it a priority to get rid of them and I am now free of those fees for the rest of my life . I still own a deeded week in Las Vegas that I will never give up . I just called them a couple of weeks ago and booked a week starting May 1st . It took me less than five minutes to book it and I got the confirmation immediately . I only use that timeshare in Las Vegas and never exchange it .

Good luck and let us know how you make out .

I would be shocked if the person that wrote this was not a Latitude employee or owner. No one else has had this experience with them as far as I can tell and I have not had this experience personally. I have had the experience that Latitude is a big FRAUD and does nothing but takes your money and buries an ad underneath thousands of others that look exactly the same and I didn't pay them so I could manage my own advertisement, bookings, rentals, etc. Very skeptical of this post.

You are saying everything I have said. We have had the exact same experience. And you are doing everything I have wanted to do but just don't have the experience or time to do. My husband and I would love to be part of any movement, class action suit, etc. We will try to get post something on Poala's site and will support any news expose. I think that is a great way to start! We have been following Poala's movement for a long time and are grateful for her persistence. You are right, this is ridiculous that they continue to work this fraud on people year after year and take wonderful family memories of an excellent visit to Cancun and tarnish them with this long lasting nightmare.

Hi, I've been scammed as well. We were all given the same information "Investment" however with no return. Please guide me in the direction to get my money back. You can contact me by email. Thank you so much with any assistance you can provide.

Were you actually "scammed" or did you just overpay for something? If you purchased it more than five days ago, then you have passed your rescission period that allows you to cancel the sale and get your money back.

With you inviting people in a public forum like this to contact you via e-mail, you are inviting a lot of trouble. You will get bombarded with spammers and scam attempts.
