Renting exchanged RCI weeks is expressly prohibited

What is RCI? Marriott Vacation Club members can rent out weeks purchased 100% with points? Yes or No?

RCI is a timeshare exchange company. Unlike RCI, Marriott Vacation Club does allow owners who reserve a week with points to rent that week out.

Excellent point! With all the fees paid and the unit occupied why should they make restrictions?

So someone called me and had all my information saying they need inventory and went down the list of owners who don't use RCI weeks. He told me I could get minimum $1400/week but I would have to $399 for all 6 weeks and then they would pay me the difference. So this is a scam?

I decided to check online to see if this is legit. I'm with HGVC and didn't know I actually had weeks I could use anytime and anywhere for $399 for 6 days. So now they are telling me since they seen I haven't taken advantage of this they would buy it from me, but I did have to pay upfront for all those weeks. I questioned that but he said it makes sense to do it like that. Please confirm if this is what some of you on here are talking about. Thanks C
