Marriott right of first refusal

Oct 09, 2024

I have tried to purchase two different Marriot Ocean Club in Aruba and the Marriott exercise their ROFR. Is there a certain price point that they will automatically buy it at? Do they have a maximum price they will go up to? Very frustrating to have to go through the process only for them to come in and buy it.

No, there are no fixed or certain numbers to learn. Marriott knows the market and will always exercise ROFR on any transaction they consider to be below actual market value. The practice makes perfect sense from a business perspective; they are looking out for Marriott's own best interests --- not yours.

if i listed our marriott timeshare with redweek and they found a buyer but marriott refused the sale and is now buying my unit directly, do I still pay Redweek commission?
