(Vacation limitless) First company who actually helps me get rid of my timeshare
Hello everyone! I have been waiting to post on here since I wanted everything resolved 1st and foremost. It has been over a year of battle and frustration and it's finally over. Here's what happened to us.
We purchased a timeshare back in Feb 2019 wanting to get rid of two of our current timeshare. It sounded so convincing since we really wanted to get rid of the other two. We came back to our hotel that day and read through the contract and nothing there guarantees that the other two will be transferred. We can potentially end up witb three timeshares.
We came back and cancelled the next day. They took us to meet with a guy who then processed the cancellation. After that, we were escorted to speak with someone who claimed to be part of the corporate office and not a sales guy but he ended up offering us a "vacation package" which is the Limitless Vacation. It included weeks of vacation plus other things for over $5000. It also include the fact that they will cancel or transfer the 2 other timeshare that we have. We used the credit that we opened to pay for part of it.
We later on realized that it is not even worth it. We still have to pay for and deal with transferring, reselling, or cancelling the other two timeshares which we found out cannot be cancelled. It was hard to book vacation, we're still going to be paying for maintenance fees etc. Here's what I tried to do. Keep in mind that it is Fully Paid. I paid the bank in fukk as well so we dont incure interest!
1. I messaged and contacted the person we spoke to and tried to cancel it due to misleading information. FAILED. No mattwr how many time I tried and emailed.
2. Disputed in the bank. FAILED. The bank will not let you dispute it.
3. PROFECO. They only mediate. The response time is a bit delayed but it kickstarted the process.
After a consistent back and forth and delays. We were able to receive full refund and cancelled the vacation package. I believe it was possible to cancel due to it not being an actual Timeshare. Hope this helps.

Hello, Thank you for the your review. I am also bought this Vacation limitless package 2 weeks ago and now I’m trying to dispute the charge with my credit card. They are big liars. Could you please provide more information how did you get your money back? Thank you.

We bought yesterday at Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta , read the contract last night and returned today and got our money back. They admitted they lied about the Vidanta weeks....we had bought tier one of Limitless Vacations which the salesperson said gave us two weeks a year at Vidanta resorts and two weeks worldwide, for 100 years as long as we kept current on the $199 concierge charge. In reality we would have received two weeks to be used in two years at Vidanta resorts and then that part at their resorts would expire. The two weeks worldwide would continue. We even went back yesterday evening and they continued to lie. This morning when we went back to get our money back they admitted the truth and processed our refund. We would have been out 8 grand plus another 2 grand for the "transfer" of our current timeshare. The contract was deceptively worded and they made it sound as if it was the same deal we had spent 5 hours hearing about. It is not! They will look you in the eye and lie. Do not believe a word of it. Such a shame because it is a beautiful resort.

I'm glad to hear you got your money back. And yes, there are many nice resorts in Mexico. Sadly, the sales tactics of the sales people there give timeshares in Mexico a bad name.

You can cancel but follow the instructions you were given with your package. Does it tell you to walk back in or send a letter via certified mail? Do whatever the instructions are in your package.

Hello Marty!!! Your review has brought me peace and hope!!! We did the same thing a few weeks ago and have been having buyers remorse, wondering if it was all a scam that sounded too good to be true because we have not heard a word from them, but we have gotten our rci credit card for our crazy balance over 10k. I’m so hopeful that our current worldmark timeshare will sell!!!

I don’t see any instructions on how to get my money back! We are not in Mexico anymore, we have been home for about 10 days and we’re freaking out cause we haven’t received anything in the mail from them, no emails, only our credit card with our 11k balance on it. We are worried we now have two obnoxious timeshares 😭

1. The contract rescission (cancellation) period in Mexico is only 5 days. If you have already been home for 10 days without formally rescinding, that option is obviously no longer available to you; that ship has already sailed. If you were not provided with any formal notice of your rescission rights (a legal requirement, even in slippery Mexico), contact PROFECO and attempt to get the entire transaction invalidated and your money refunded. Look through your contract materials very closely before asserting that you were not provided with that notice of rescission rights, particularly since at the Mexican end they may very well be able and ready to produce a document bearing your initials and / or signature indicating that these rights were indeed presented to you at the time of contract execution.
2. Unfortunately, reports abound in great numbers about timeshares (allegedly) "traded in" Mexico, but actually being left completely untouched after "the deal is done" in Mexico. Your concerns are well founded and it is entirely possible (quite likely, actually) that you now have two contractual obligations, at least for now.
Your first and best (and ultimately, maybe your only) available option at this juncture is to immediately open a formal dispute with your credit card issuer, challenging the $11k charge. Don't delay; you might have as few as 30 days from the transaction date to formally file that dispute. If the "trade in" is clearly specified in your contract and not processed into new ownership within the time period identified therein (if any time frame is even mentioned at all), you might have a basis to claim breach of contract and you might prevail on reversing that credit card charge. If the contract you signed makes no mention of the "trade in", or lacks any specific timeline for completing the lawful and valid transfer of ownership of that so-called "trade in", you may essentially be just "SOL". Good luck.

I am a licensed timeshare resale broker with over 1,200 USA resales in 18 years; I went to Cabo for the first time in March and had to see why everyone says they do not tell the truth. They started at $89,000 but 'moved down' to $8,900 for a VACATION CLUB - Not even a timeshare and had about 20 years. Of course the sizzle is the low rates to stay but the $8,900 is really a waste as you can rent from anywhere with more flexible options at almost any resort anytime. I did manage to extract a free car ($200) plus $500 but was still a LONG time to take for this. Good thing I drove there! My favorite was the sales agent telling me he needed this because they were just coming off Covid. BEWARE and do not SIGN or you will either be out your money or spend time to MAYBE get your funds back IF you do it right away and correctly.
