Can't even give them one star
Just joined this fight and can not thank everyone enough for sharing the Club Land'or Paradise Island stories of outrageous accounting. I am going thru my files this weekend of the many "accounts" i have with them...energy surcharge, refurb fee, special assessment, and of course mntc fee. I will start this week to try and get an account breakdown of each from their office and will follow this chain closely. Enough is enough. We all entered into an agreement with Land'or and they have turned into a very un-agreeable business to deal with.

cherylo70 wrote:Cheryl, there is not a class action suit that we know of. There are however, many people from this blog that have come together so if you are interested in that, contact me at christinelolsen@hotmail.comPlease add us to the list. Not only did we refuse to pay their ridiculous fees but when we kept asking for a complete and accurate invoice of our account, and it was anything but that. We had sent payments to them and also they had debited our account and did not apply the credits. We refused to pay any more until they showed the credits. They would not do it. They turned us over to collections so now it will show their devious tricks and bookkeeping. So we would love to join the class-action suit. There is more to this than over- charging fees. They are hiding and embezzeling money somewhere and the U.S and the Bohemeians need to investigate. They have taken my money and not shown where they put it, except in their pockets. You also might want to review your accounts. They do funny math. We did not get credit for our last three payments which was over $500.00. The attorney can e-mail me at cherylathome@cox.net.

This morning's Richmond TImes-Dispatch (2-7-12) has an article in the business section about Wintergreen Resort having a budget crunch and "inviting" members to kick in $5000 apiece, with the caveat that emergency dues may be forthcoming. (www.timesdispatch.com/business/business/2012/feb/07/) This is where Sadler the class action attorney that is referrenced so much lives. If he can't protect the folks in his own backyard where he has such a presence, how can he champion anyone else?

Hummmmm - and isn't this from the same person who said Land 'Or was suing people for defamation, etc. without being able to provide any supporting documentation? Hummmmmm - how do you know where Sadler lives and how do you know what he has or hasn't' done? Hummmmm - why would you want to talk against someone who has helped people who have been scammed by Land'Or ? Are you a Land'Or member or part of their organization? Watch out - Sadler might come after you for defamation of character!

Good insight Marya502. I read Billb352's message last night and thought this was a harsh criticism of Mr. Sadler. I was going to look back myself to see if Billb352 was the one who had written the very statements that you said he was responsible for in the past. It isn't new news that many timeshares are facing hard times, most likely due to the economy. I'm sure some, but not all are unfairly trying to assess their timeshare owners for their lack of income.

I got an email a few days ago from RCI saying that that they were returning the weeks that I banked with them to Club Landor at my request. I didn't make the request so i called both companies to investigate. The person that I talked to at Club Landor said that RCI was not banking their weeks anymore until they did some repairs.
I also got another request asking for another special assessment of $499 a few weeks ago. Seems to me like that is some kind of breach of contract because that is one of the main things that they pushed to me when i bought was the fact that you could participate in the RCI program and bank weeks. Please add me to any list or communications in regards to getting justice out of these guys. I paid $3000 in fees to them last year and they have already asked for close to $600 so far this year! When is enough enough?
Let's join together & fight!

After all the negative that I have said about Land'or and will continue to say until I am in my grave....I seriously doubt they are suing people for defamation of character. LOL.....how can you sue someone for speaking the truth. I would have been one of the first in court had this been true. Do you think it's coincidence that all of us are posting negative about Land'or on this forum. NOT! We are here because all of us are being screwed by Land'or. Bill352 stop wasting your time in our forum. Its obvious that you are a representative to Land'or of some sort.
