Has anyone dealt with Time No More, Inc

Apr 10, 2009

We were told by a Sara Brown (Braun?) in Customer Service, yes, Customer Service!, that Timeshare Freedom is no longer doing closings for Time No More and that we should call Time No More to get our week's deed transferred and our maintenance fee settled. However, every number that we have for Time No More is now answered as Timeshare Freedom and we have been told by someone else that Time No More, TF, and RIAN are one and the same now! So, eight months after selling our week, it's still in our name unless something happened in the last few days.

Did you sell your week to Time No More or did you pay them $3000-$4000 to take it off your hands?

We "sold" them two weeks and paid money to join the travel club, RIAN. One week officially left our hands in February, for which we are very happy. The second week, however, is still causing us the frustration. Because Timeshare Freedom didn't do the paperwork soon enough, our 2009 maintenance fee came due first. TF is saying that we need to pay that fee; we are saying no because the deal was that our 2008 fees were up to date last August when we sold and we are not responsible for anything after that.

I sood ( ha ha ) my time share to them in Dec.08 and they have not completed the deal as yet. Harkins was also my sales person and I think I have been scamed out of $3544. I gave them all the paper work they ask for and still nothing after 31/2 months. I filed a complaint with Ga. BBB and the complaint was never answered. T N M has a F rating because of dealings. I am going to contact the U S attorney general about a possible mail fraud case on them. If you paid with a credit card call and dispute the charge, just maybe we all can get them locked up for their scam.

I have contacted the BBB in Atlanta. TNM has a rating of F and does not answer the BBB complaint I filed. I am in contact with a man named Scott Roberts who is legal council for Time share partners and am sending all paper work ( copies ) for him to look at. He said he may file a law suit against Time no more because they have transfered some property to them without knowledge of the transfer.

We have had the same experience you have had with Time No More, Timeshare Freedom and RIAN, who are all one and the same company. We would like to pursue legal action too. Please let us know what response you get from the US Attorney General. Have you contacted an attorney? And what recourses did the attorney give you? Have you thought about contacting the Georgia Attorney General for fraud investigation?

Yes, I have and can no longer get in touch with them. I was told that they were taken over by Timeshare Freedom. I did actually speak to someone at Timeshare Freedeom several times and each time I was told that they had taken over Time No More and that my paperwork was in the process and I should receive final paperwork in 2 weeks. Those 2 weeks have never arrived yet and that was about 2 months ago. Now all of the phone numbers that I have accumulated are either no longer in service or they tell you to leave a detailed message and someone will call you back, but then at the end of the message you are unable to leave a message. Very frustrating . . . I've learned my lesson the hard way . . . stay away from Time No More and Timeshare Freedom. I did find an email address for someone named Tammy at Timeshare Freedom. I emailed her and she told me that Timeshare Freedom did not get any of the paperwork from Time No More and to just keep callinig the phone number that I have and someone will call me . . . not true!!

Postcard companies (that you pay $3000-$4000 to take your timeshare off your hands) and many upfront fee resale companies change their company names, addresses and telephone numbers all the time and move on to invent another name, telephone number and address .... it's part of their modus operandi to get former disgruntled clients off their backs.

I actually went to Cleveland, GA yesterday (4/16/09) to speak with someone in person since I could not reach anyone by telephone. When I arrived, Timeshare Freedom had 3 suites, 108, 109, and 110. All 3 suites were locked and no one was there. I was able to find out who the landlord of the building they were located in and was told by the landlord that they were unaware that they had possibly closed down or moved out . . . because their rent was paid for April and also unaware that their phones were disconnected. The landlord took my name and phone number and was going to give my information to someone from Timeshare Freedom if they called in. I really don't expect to hear from them. What I found when I arrived at 28 Industrial Blvd in Cleveland, GA is exactly what I expected to find. Locked up and gone.

Kudos to you for trying, but that's how the scammers/thieves operate, however I would report them to the Attorney General of Georgia. More people should do what you did ..... face them and their lies in person along with the local police.

Have you researched to see if Time No More is still in operation? Some say that they're the same company as Timeshare Freedom.

We considered going to Cleveland in early March, when I had spring break. If only we had!

I feel such anger that this company just can't be straightforward. I asked Timeshare Freedom people many times if they were in financial difficulty or overwhelmed with work or whatever but no one would ever say a word.

Our 2009 maintenance fee is now $500 more than when we initially received the bill, due to late charges and collection agency charges. I have emailed Sarah Brown at TF to either complete the sale of our week or refund our $549 transfer fee plus the $500 late fees. If either of the above occurs, I will inform you all!

Sarah Brown's email and phone number were given to me by a woman who answered the phone at Timeshare Freedom about a month ago. Sarah is supposedly the Customer Service representative. (Read one of the above posts) She became angry and hung up when my husband said that her company was incompetent. I have misplaced the phone number but her email address is Sarah@timeshare-freedom.com. Don't hold your breath, though. She has never responded to an email.

I forgot to say that several months ago, I emailed the local weekly paper in the Cleveland area and called some Atlanta television stations asking if they were looking for an investigative story on Timeshare Freedom. No one responded. I also called a local station, since two seminars were held here at the time that we did business with TNM. That station had recently done a similar story, though, so wasn't interested.

I also contacted a Cleveland law firm this week. They were honest enough to say that it would take far more money to have them represent us than we had lost through Time No More. If I had the money, I'd hire them, just because I think that TF and TNM need to be brought to justice!

Keep calling the Atlanta television stations until you get a live person to talk with. Also email the Atlanta (look up the name and address on the internet) newspaper as a letter to the editor explaining your situation ..... that'll get EVERYBODY'S attention .... Cleveland is a really small town while Atlanta is a mega-huge metropolitan city (it's the largest city in the south east).

Whatever you do, don't give up as 'the squeaky wheel gets the grease'.

Sarah at Timeshare Freedom told me the same thing about Time No More. A nice guy at the TNM seminar booking number told me, later that same day, that for several months TF and TNM have been under the same name and that the sale of our week should not be effected. If TNM is no more, has folded up, why are their phone numbers answered as Timeshare Freedom now? It sounds like TF, formerly TNM, is looking for an easy way out.

How much time after the fact will a credit card company help people out? When did you "sell" your week, Judy?

This is the part I don't understand because the two aforementioned companies DON'T PAY YOU FOR YOUR TIMESHARE, YOU PAY THEM in the $3000-$4000 range to take the timeshare off your hands and they turn around and put it on Ebay for $1.
