I hate to admit that after paying them I never heard from them and the number I have for them has been disconnected. Does anyone have a working number? Count me in on a suit. ehopehill@peoplepc.com

Yep, I am interested! I am becoming increasingly confident that they are a big scam outfit and I think they survive because no one follows up! Trouble is when chased, these type of people can just rename themselves and start all over again. I also think that the people who say they have rented and/or sold are probably working for Omega. They'd have to be pretty stupid not to check the websites to check what is being said about them........that's what keeps them ahead of the game I guess.

I just happened to run across this web post. I have been in a similar situation with a different company the best way to get your money back is to contact the attny generals office in the state the co, is located and file a complaint. If enough of you do they will start an investigation and if they are using misleading sales practices they will have to give all of you the money back. Go to www.ripoffreport.com complain there aswell. Good luck to all of you.

Does anyone know of a way to sell your timeshare without an upfront cost...rather like real estate with a commission after the sale?

Most timeshares have a company they deal with, i.e., Remax. Check with your timeshare and see who they recommend. However, you probably won't get what you're hoping for in return

As I said...they have a pimited time in which to respond to our last conversation. I will be using this address given in the event it is needed (which unfortunately, I believe it will be). Thank you for the information and I certainly hope that all reading will participate. I'll keep posting.

Hi jamest179,

Out of curiosity, how long did it take for you recover your money? Thanks to timesharejudi, I filed a complaint with the Florida Attorney General (the timeshare sales division), Those companies MOST definitely used misleading sales practices to get me to sign up with them!!!

I did just get a form letter informing me that an investigator is in the process of being assigned to my complaint. I hope it won't take too long!

If you believe you have been scammed by an upfront fee timeshare resale company, you can voice your complaint below to the Florida Attorney General:

Fraud Hotline: 1-866-9-NO-SCAM (1-866-966-7226) (toll free within Florida

http://www.state.fl.us/dbpr/re/burenf.shtml

Voicing your complaint to the Florida BBB (Better Business Bureau) is a waste of your time.

Omega took care of my needs with my shares, I just had to have a little patience. It took a little longer than expected, but it was sold, and they are now out of my hair.

I submitted a complaint with the Office of the Attorney General in Florida this morning. I would suggest that all concerned parties should do so.

WHY NOT POLL THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE VENTED THEIR FRUSTRATIONS ON THIS SITE AND SEE IF THEY WOULD BE WILLING TO GET ON BOARD WITH YOU? i THINK THAT IIF YOU CAN CONTACT THEM ONE-ON-ONE IT WOULD KEEP OMEGA FROM GETTING WISE UNTIL AFTER THE LAWYERS ARE INVOLVED. THEY WOULD PROBABLY BE ABLE TO FIND OUT WHO'S INVOLVED. AT THE VERY LEAST, THEY MIGHT BE ABLE TO INFORM THE ATTORNEY GENERAL.

I wish I had read all these before I was dumb enough to give them my credit card number. They got me for $800. If anyone does something, count me in. At the very least, we should all contact the Better Business Bureau and raise a complaint against them.

Once again, we attempted to contact OMS today. The day has passed and there has been (of course) no reply. I also emailed them a very nasty email...humph...no reply as yet. As I said, I did file a complaint with the BBB and the Attorney General in FL. I think that irvinr2 is correct in stating that we need to poll of people and get information before we proceed further. I will continue to keep you all posted. When we are ready to act on a Class Action Suit (if needed) I will ABSOLUTELY want to hear from all of you personally or via an atttorney.

I was the fool just last week. I am going to attempt to dispute the charge with my credit card company. As of today I have not signed anything. The entire transaction was handled on the phone. My email convermation indicated I would receive a hard copy in 5-7 days and I should sign and return. The phone number I have for Omega is 866-380-5163 and my contact was Dave Bell. Assuming I do not get my refund I will join the fight.

catc6,

This is an EXTREMELY stipid question, and if I had your direct email, I'd email you personally, but is there any chance I could join you in your class action lawsuit? (I never actually dealt with Omega, but I have been burned by other timeshare resale scammers, hence the stupid question) I'm having some trouble finding an attorney that will take my case.

My email is nori_nadzri@hotmail.com. Thanks, Nori

You would probably be better off contacting your attorney general.

Nori, In the event that a class action law suit is filed; I will speak with the attorney in regards to your situation. I'm not sure as to whether or not your circumstances would apply since it would be targeted directly at OMS and if you have had no dealings with them...? To All: We did receive a call from "Chris" at OMS after an email sent to them. We issued ultimatiums and let's see if there are any results. We informed them that we have filed a complaint with the AG of FL and that if there were no results, that we and many others are willing and prepared to file a class action suit against them. Keeping you posted!

irvinr2,

I already have filed a complaint (thank you timesharejudi!) , and got the standard-issue form letter that they were in the process of assigning me a case number.

I guess it's a waiting game now!

I spoke with David Bell today and told him to issue a credit to my CC. He said he would accomodate me but assured me he was the guy to sell my property. I said thanks but no thanks and I was invoking my right as per there contract to cancel within 7 days. He then said he had allready done work on my property and was not sure if he could give me a full refund. I promptly told him he had 24 hours to submit the refund or I would dispute the charge. I think thanks to you guys I may get lucky. I will let you know.

Howie

Something needs to be done and since all seemed to have had the same results, perhaps it's time. It seems apparent that Omega Marketing Solutions was busy during the months from October 2006 thru March 2007 in all our cases.

By the time that we were all ripped off...they have had the time to disappear! It would appear that a class action suit is in order here.

catconsten@hotmail.com

What address did you have for Omega? The address I have is 36181 East Lake Suite #30 Palm Harbor, FL 34685

However, the envelope I received was mailed in St. Pete.

I have been considering Omega Marketing Solutions to rent out my weeks. Now that I have read all this I am thinking twice. I do have a different address for them. 1800 Drew Street Suite B Clearwater, FL 33765 727-230-1920 866-380-5163

Good Luck to all of you with getting your money back. And thank you for all the info that will now prevent me from falling into the same trap.
