Buying, Renting, and Selling Timeshares

New $99 few for DIY verified and protected is ridiculous

As a long-time member, I have been extremely disappointed with the new fees and look forward to finding an alternative.

I always liked Redweek to rent my timeshare week, when I could do it myself. I am going to advertise it on Myresortnework.com first. I also have it posted on VRBO. It's good to have it advertised on VRBO, when I post the ad on some Facebook groups.

Bye bye Redweek.....

If RedWeek were a pizza place, what you see on the menu would be “Large Pepperoni — $12.

What you get? Large Pepperoni — $12 + Service Charge + Lava-Hot Topping Fee + Oven-Use Surcharge + “We Want Your Soul” Tax.”

That’s the vibe now

Best options are Tug2, Dashweek, Consierge Realty, or eBay.

Red weeks changes give you no option anymore. You get no deposit You pay for listing $59 You pay if they say it is rented $99 You wait for renter and Redweek to agree that all was satisfactory.

The time share owner has not control of the resort or experience for the renter

I have rented many times and received full payment up front after i put the time share week in the renter's name We need to look for new places to list our timeshare.

Never had an issue posting and renting my Galleon Week for the last 10 years on Redweek - with very happy renters and several repeats. Always DIY which gave the renter and us (the owner) more human contact and flexibility. We would chat about local area favorites, give tips on check in, and several times the renter would share great stories of their vacations. The human connection offered by Redweek was competitive advantage this site held. They are becoming AirBNB or VRBO - and these companies do a much better job advertising and promoting their rentals. Good Luck Redweek - I give you another 12 months!

I agree with you. You can still DYI and pay $39.99 without paying $99 as a commission. I didn’t see it at first but if you scroll all the way to the top of the page it say “click here “ click it. It brings you back to the regular redweek Homepage
