Royal Hacienda

We love it there, and although patience is a virtue, we can hardly wait to return (with both girls, now 17). Perhaps we'll see each other then?Dee3---we were also there in Nov week 44. We have weeks 13 in D227 and also would like to know anyone that has 12 or 14. Also, if anyone has week 12 at the Royal Sands.

The lockoff studio at the Haciendas is similiar to the lockoffs at the Sands with the following improvements: the balcony is usable and has two chairs and a little table so you can actually sit out there, it has a granite counter topped kitchenette with a sink, microwave, toaster, mini refrigerator, dishes and silverware for two, and a lovely bathroom set up with granite counter, twin sinks, and bath with elaborate tile work. We own two weeks in November and stayed there the first time Nov 2006. Construction is ongoing, but in 2007 will be behind us, not the present "loop". The resort is quiet, beautiful beach with little waves. Same superior Royal Resorts quality and care by the employees.
I just want to make sure I am getting this right. We will be staying in a studio at the RH in Sept. On our confirmation it said there were no kitchen facilities. This lockoff is the one with two beds and no dining or living room areas? I'm just not sure whether to bring a cooler of some sort. If there's a fridge no worries.... but if not...

Hi,
I bought there but haven't been there yet. We were told and on there website it says that the lock off 2 person studio has a small fridge, kitchenette, 2 beds and a small table and chair to eat on. I'm pretty sure that table and chairs are on the balcony. The room also is supposed to have silverware. I suggest you visit there website since it's just fun to see and you'll learn exactly what to bring. Have fun. Kath

Hi, I have a question, everytime I look at the webcam or the resort photo's I almost never see anyone in the ocean and this has me worried that there's something wrong, like to much sea grasses or rocks to enjoy walking into the water. Can anyone tell me what it was like? Thanks. Kathleen

Stacey -
Did you ever find out where you are going to be located at The Royal Mayan? I'm certain you'll love it there! Honestly, I think if this is your first trip to the area, you'll be very happy that you chose Cancun. The Royal Haciendas is beautiful, but still under construction. The Royal Mayan is so established and friendly - and you won't have the construction noise to deal with while you are there. Even though we bought at The Royal Haciendas, we enjoy our week at the Cancun properties way too much to ever sell or trade!!

Hello everyone. My husband and I just came back from a royal vacation. As I must say, we are also pround members at the Royal Haciendas. We spent the day there and fell in love. The place is awesome and no pictures you'll see will do justice. I was scare at first to own but now it's a great investment we ever made..... It's a must see!!!!! If anyone has any questions about the place, feel free to ask....

I heard the taxi's are all nighters.... It is a pretty far walk. They're supposed to have a fiery (on the water) from the Haciendas to the Playa pretty soon. I believe at no cost too!

Congratulations, aliciag23!! We are also proud members at the Haciendas and at the Sands in Cancun. Yes, purchasing is very scary at first, but it's one that we have never regretted, and we've purchased 4 times!! We stayed at our Haciendas villa last November and loved it -- I'm looking forward to spending a day there when we're at the Sands this July. Again, congratulations and welcome to the Royal Resorts family!!

Thank you so much Dee3. I'm really looking forward to being part of this family. Who knows, maybe someday I will another addition to the family....:o)

From what I've seen, most members end up owning more than one week at the Royals, so another addition to the family may very well be possible, aliciag23!!! From our experience, it takes a day or two to settle in to the vacation routine, and by the end of the week, it's starting to gear up to go home again. So one week is not enough!!! Besides, with the cost of airfare, staying the two weeks helps with that expense. Saturday morning on that transition day to the second week is so delightful! Most everyone else is all depressed as they're heading home, the beach and pool are empty, and you're in all the glory for staying on as vacation is only half way done. Once, with a bonus Royal week we stayed for 3 weeks -- we felt like Mexican citizens! We own 2 back to back weeks, two different times of year. Someday whenever we retire we can split the villas and stay for four weeks twice a year. I wonder if that would give us citizenship and voting rights -- lol!!!
