Current Fees - to Renter and Owner

Jun 14, 2025

We called them and they simply do not care! They told us that they are a "for-profit organization" and they want to make more money!!!! The renter now pays an extra 10% as well as the fees we pay - the prices are outnumbering the possibility of renting our units now!

Excuse me—when did RedWeek change its fee structure for rentals?

I am very dissatisfied with what appears to be a significant and unfair change. Today is June 6, 2025, and I have just discovered that not only is there now a $49 fee just to list a rental, but there is also an additional $99 fee if the week rents—even when using the do-it-yourself posting option.

I truly hope I have misunderstood something. However, based on what I have seen, that does not appear to be the case.

I can understand being charged to list a week or being charged a fee if the week rents—but being charged both ways feels excessive and unreasonable. This change penalizes owners and creates a disincentive to use your platform.

RedWeek, you need to reconsider and correct this policy as soon as possible, or you will lose my business. I have been a loyal user and fan of your platform, but this change may force me to look elsewhere.

Please let me know if I have misunderstood or if any clarification is available.

The RedWeek person on the phone told us that it is 10%! Highway robbery and clearly a money grab on RedWeek's part.

I have noted that Redweeks additional fees amount to, and adds, approximately 10% to most listings. Please clarify why that is so if the rate is supposed to be 6-7% per earlier Redweeks replies in this string?

Bear in mind that RedWeek was acquired by a (much bigger) company called Arrivia in September, 2022. It is really no surprise that the former RedWeek model has changed since then to a much more corporate / profit driven m.o. Also perhaps relevant is the fact that as of January, 2025, Arrivia itself is now owned by "a consortium of international investors". The bottom line is that smaller and more affordable and more member-friendly RedWeek of yesteryear is now simply gone forever, like it or not.

With the elimination of a true "Do it yourself" option and additional fee $99 fee, I will no longer use RedWeek for my rental listings.

Timeshare User Group (TUG) Marketplace will continue to be my go-to.

I am buying a timeshare week through Redweek and the contract says buyer to pay a commission of $4101. which is included in the purchase price. That is 21% of the purchase price. Why is Redweek putting that in the contract?
