Timeshare Companies

Has anyone dealt with Time No More, Inc

May 18, 2009

I have thought about contacting the U S Attorney General about a possibility of mail fraud because we were contacted through the U S Mail.

You can use the search forum feature here to find contact info (if any) on the above companies. I believe that Time No More is no longer in business if they are the ones in Georgia ..... they closed shop and left town. A forum member actually went to their address in Georgia to find an empty building.

I bought a timeshare from this Timeshare Freedom in December and its still not registered. I finally found a number for the TNM Inc and someone answered the phone when I called at midnight looking to get an answering machine. I'm not sure if its the actual company or someone who unfortunately got this as a new cell phone number. Put it was listed as TNM 706 219 2542. If anyone os filing suit let me know.

By the way Timeshare Freedom just filed their last report to the Sectary of State in April 2009 so they are still maintaining its credentials with the state. Which means their contact information should be listed at the Sect. of State's office.

Thanks for any input anyone may have.

Yes unfortunately I have, paid the fee and now the timeshare I thought I sold want their $750 maintenance fee for next year. I called Time no more and there is no answer at any of the numbers. I have been taken. I still own the time share minus $3000 I paid them. Larry

Larry, I feel sorry for the problems your having! I have to say every timeshare forum should post your posting at the very top of the site with only one add on. That would be to include any upfront company.

It should be labled all new people please read this posting before doing anything involving selling or giving your timeshare away!

There are so many lazy people that pop up on these forum and without reading any of the many post to try and learn they just ask their question that probably has been answered a thousand times. They ask their question about some company and get couple replies and leave and many don't even have the common courtesy to do a reply to thank the people helping them or to try and learn more.

Few months later and they are back posting like yours with same problem of being scammed by up front (PARASITES).

Some day others are going to learn from post like yours, not that this helps you retrieve your money.

Actually Time No More is not an upfront fee resale company ..... they're what's referred to as a 'postcard company'. They send out postcards to timeshare owners claiming they will rid you of your unwanted timeshare and they set up a meeting in your area. In reality, you pay them $3000+ to supposedly take the timeshare off your hands ..... they then turn around and put it on Ebay for $1.

The problem is if the timeshare doesn't sell then the postcard company is supposedly responsible for paying future maintenance fees. It would seem some postcard companies fail to sell the timeshare on Ebay and the maintenance fees are still the responsibility of the owner.

There may be a few 'honest' postcard companies that follow through by taking the timeshare out of a client's ownership as I know some Tuggers buy cheap timeshares via Ebay and postcard companies, however as with any company, without having valid proof that the timeshare no longer is in your name there is a chance the ownership still remains in your name.

If one should pay a postcard company to take a timeshare off your hands, you will need to request valid proof that the timeshare is no longer in your name (ie: check with the resort and/or county records), however by then it's probably too late as the postcard companies already have your money.

I understand they are a post card company. I thought in my statement above of giving your timeshare away covered this because when owners try giving it away these companies jump in and want as you said $3000 to take it and many times this is a rip off!

Boy does this sound familiar, The same thing happened to me and now the timeshare is threatening me because the dues are not current, and Timeshare freedom issued a check to my timeshare company to pay the transfer fees and it came back on a closed acct. I guess it is a live and learn costly mistake about the timeshare industry's shortcomings- shysters! Any body planning a lawsuit out there? kb

Elaine,

Will you email me at basemand@yahoo.com, please? My husband and I talked to you many times before we were told that you no longer worked at TNM. I have someone that I'd like you to talk to.

Debbie, I also have been taken for about $4,000 dollars on this scam, would you contact me so that we can share information. maybe we can get everyone together and file a class action law suite, or contact the Attorney General office to get some results. you can contact me a rneedham@frontiernet.net

Whatever else you do, contact the Attorney General in the state where the business is located and file a complaint. These people need to be arrested and jailed for fraud and theft.

jayjay, are you aware of any law suites against this company?? If so, let me know. thanks

you need to contact the Governor's office of consumer affairs in the state of Georgia. They handle all the fraud cases in Georgia, not the Attorney Generals office.

I'm not personally aware of any lawsuits against that company but I'd be totally surprised if there weren't any. People are sick and tired of being stolen from and I, myself, would go to the ends of the earth if I had been taken advantage of by these thieves.

I'm sure you could get in touch with the agency in your post above and ask if there had been any complaints and file a complaint with them yourself. I assume the attorney general passes complaints to the department you mentioned above.

That is correct, and I urge everyone to contact the Governors office to report this scam. I am personally sending them all the information that I can. I would also like any information that anyone else can give me concerning this matter.

I have now been assigned a caseworker from the governor's office. I have printed out this complete form and I am going to send a copy of it to her. If anyone can give me any more information on this subject please do so, or at least contact the Governors office in the state of Georgia. you can contact me here or at rneedham@frontiernet.net

Thank you for the offer. I have contact that Governor office as well and I am in the process of sending a letter of complaint. What type of information will you need?
