Successful Resales & Rental Feedback Wanted
I am interested in hearing how others use various venues to rent a week at various places. I've tried several venus, I hate to lose the week, but, I'm so tired of a fee for this and a fee for that. Also, anyone been successful in selling their time share? Is it just a fantasy?
How do you handle payments from people you don't know? Just wondering and wishing. Thanks, Reene

I don't know if you're doing anything wrong, it could be that people haven't given up their week at that resort, or, perhaps the people who have listings are with a different vendor. I hope that helps? I'm with Interval and there are many places to exchange with. Not sure if that's it or not. Reene

Hi Joseph,
Is Disney's Yacht Club a timeshare? If it's a hotel rather than a timeshare it wouldn't be found on RedWeek.

Quick question: can you advice me about another rental escrow services that First American?
I try to rent a week in Marbella for next June (see posting from philomenag4), but it seems that foreigners have issues when filling the form online (maybe due to country of residence).
Thanks.

What does the "II" stand for?
In timeshare lingo, "II" is an abbreviation for Interval International --- a legitimate exchange company. However, a lot of scam outfits are strategically now picking names to mimic legitimate companies.
Besides, Interval International does not deal with selling timeshares --- only exchanging and renting out deposited ones. Don't get fooled by the "II" label.
Can you let us know what their claim or sales pitch is? Maybe members on these forums can help you identify if it's a scam.

(This was in reply to someone who spoke of "selling" by November in order to cover their maintence fees. Now I can't see the posting I was answering, so this doesn't make sense!) Do you really mean "sell" or do you want to rent it? Do you have the week reserved or is this float time or points? That is,are you elegible to reserve the week or do you actually HAVE it reserved. If you have not reserved a week, it may be hard to secure one for rental purposes at this late date, but if you can,you can offer it on RedWeek rentals or just bank it quickly with your exchange company (such as RCI or Interval) to be used later in securing a different week. For my timeshare, because I rent it out, it would be up to me. If I was willing to sell you less than a week, I might, if you wanted to pay the price I was offering. It doesn't matter to the hotel/resort. I hope this helps.

The parasites thank you for your kind generousity in making that voluntary donation.I just paid the $599 today to list my 2 timeshares either for sale or rent!
No disrespect intended, but I really just have to ask --- why on earth would you inquire about such thieves only AFTER giving your money away (instead of doing just a tiny bit of research FIRST?) That's a bit puzzling and quite troubling ---and it's exactly how these thieves (and others like them) manage to stay in business.
