Has anyone heard from Emily? We sent the letter priority mail that stated Emily was to be our proxy, so we are anxiously waiting to hear what happened in the meting. Thanks to anyone who can pass on some of the important issues talked about at the meeting. R. White

We too have been thinking the same way as you. Is Emily a real person or was she a shell for Wyndham? Hopefully someone out there knows what happened at this so called meeting and will let us know. This meeting or no meeting could be used in the class action suit, for we were never notified of what happened at the meeting by the timeshare owners assoc. Who filed the class action suit and what is going on with that? We have ours listed with a charity group and we sure hope they can sell it for a song. But if not then we go back to the drawing board of trying to sell it or give it away or just walk away. Keep in touch will all of us owners at the Santa Barbara, for we need to know what is happening. Does anyone know if we get a majority of owners who would like to sell the property sell it, or do we not own the land? Have a good day!

My husband and I also sent our proxy to Emily. This is all very discerning. We have been planning to visit our fixed week time share in July and at this point, I'm not even sure we will have any room let alone our room.

Has anyone besides Emily been there this year? Sandi

I spent two weeks there in February. (soft opening) The resort is beautiful. I just returned from Florida and stopped there before I left (April 08) they are open and welcoming guests.

Wanted to let everyone know that the resort is reopened and taking guest. All new staff and management are welcoming owners every week. My wife and I stayed at the resort last week and we were impressed.

Trish, I would most definitely be a part to a class action suit but don't know where to go. As a fixed week owner, week 6 unit 801, I have received all the ridiculous fees and assessments, been pressured relentlessly to convert to the points system, which I refuse to do, arrived at santa barbara only to find my unit occupied and I had to stay in another( I thought if they rented your unit you would recieve rental income) I have had my unit miraculously changed from 6 person occupancy to 4 and ya I have had it....sign me up where do I go? steve leblanc(steleb7@hotmail.com)

We would also know what to do to stop the robbing of our savings accounts. If they indeed have changed your 6 person cap. unit to a 4 person without your permission, I think you have a case to get out of your timeshare, for they are giving you something you did not pay for. And yes if they rent your unit they are to pay you and everyone of us. I understand that they can not rent out your unit if you have not asked them to do so. Go after them, for you have just cause. If ours is not sold or given away by our Sept. time, we are calling and telling them that we are coming to use our unit not someone else's for we paid for our specific unit which we pay maintenance and taxes on. Let us know what happend, so we can do the same. R. White

It simply gets worse and worse. I too would like to be part of any class action law suit. We didn't use our unit this year, but our son did and they did not get to use our unit either. They claimed it had something to do with a air conditioning problem in our unit (909) So they put our son in 709. You don't suppose that they rented out unit 909 do you?

======= If there was not really a problem with your 909 unit, wouldn't they simply have but your son in that and rented out 709--if any? At least he got a unit and one with an air conditioner. MD

We are going to use our unit in Sept. for the charity we gave our unit to could not sell it. We are planning on handing out for sale fliers to those that are at the resort. We are selling it for whatever offer someone will give us, but the amount will have to cover the transfer of the deed. Does anyone know of a title transfer of deed office in Pompano Beach, Florida where our resort is located? If we get a buyer, we want to get the transfer of the deed started while we are there. Thanks for any info. If it does not sell by when the 2009 maintenance fees and taxe bill is due, we will just let it go.

We inquired of RCI if they had a resales outlet and we were told that RCI is working on something involving a buy back deal, however, it would not be available until at least 6 months from now. They advised us to contact them (RCI) in 6 months or so.
My wife called RCI today about this buy back deal, and the supervisor said RCI does not and will not buy back any timeshares, but we could call the Century 21 RE broker who they recommend. She said no thank you for we tried this RE for a cost of $500 up front fee which they said satisfied the Florida Law to appraise the unit. Which we have just found out is illegal, but we thought Century 21 was an honest company, and found out they scam people too. So I am asking who you talked to about this buy back? Thanks for a reply, R White
HELLO TIMESHARE OWNERS: DID ANYONE HERE FROM EMILY ABOUT THE MEETING? IT HAS BEEN OVER 5 MONTHS AND WE HAVE NOT HEARD A WORD FROM HER. WE ARE REALLY BEGINNING TO BELIEVE SHE WAS A SHELL.

Richard W.

I think it is reasonable to conclude that "Emily" was a shell. Regardless, I understand that the facility looks good and that things are going better. My wife stopped by a few months ago and reported that things are looking up. She did not stay, however.

Richard, since you are planning to be there in September, would you please let all of us know how it goes.

If the facility really is that nice, then RCI should be planning a new review and hopefully that will qualify for a return to Gold Status. Perhaps, if Richard's report is encouraging, we can all call RCI and ask for that review. That would improve the value of the property and any resale any of us may be contemplating.

One of the problems of having an open chat line like this is that our negative public comments contribute to the reduced value of our properties. Hopefully, we'll hear something more positive shortly.

Our next visit there will be around New Year's. Anyone else going soon or has been there lately?

We will be happy to give a report and yes it would be good if we all callRCI, but why do they not do it on their own? We like our timeshare for it is very nice and in a great place for vacatoning, but we have not used it in 4 years and this will probably be our last time. As we get older we do not travel except to see our many chidlren and grandchildren and now great grands. So if anyone knows of someone who would like ours we will take any offer into considertion.
