Just got back from Cancun on July 8th and we too got sucked into this, what seemed to be an awesome deal, time-share. After reading some of these reviews, there is no doubt that we for sure have made a big mistake. Totally have missed the 5 days cancellation period and now wondering what next steps I should take. We have already coughed up $4,500 dollars for the time-share and $83 dollars for the "ICE" program, with a outstanding balance of $741 dollars due in 45 days, which will be automatically taken from my credit card.
I for sure will contact my credit card company to revert the $83 dollars and deny any future charges from ICE, since ICE is only an optional program.
I will also be contacting PROFECO and submit a complaint.
Hope to hear back from someone on this post with good news or a success story with a contract cancelation that was over the 5 day grace period.
