Making reservations and rolling weeks

I bought a resale of an old contract "Pacific Monarch" not "MGV Club" and it has points, can only be used at one resort and can be used every year or every other year for two weeks, as points are issued annually and you can use your points within two years of issue. When I tried to make reservations I was told that I could only use my points if I call to roll them over 30 days before expiring (the first year) and make my reservations less than 45 days in advance in the second year.

I know that MGV Club uses every other year points, and this seems difficult to do, as they book up so quickly.

Does anyone else own these points, if so is this true? And do you have any tips or reflections of your own experiences? Also, how well does this trade with interval?
