Buying a Timeshare at Villa del Arco
If you change your mind and they try to bully you, or say you waived your right to cancel when you signed something, do NOT believe it! Call PROFECO I(Federal Consumer Protection agency in Mexico). They can and WILL help you and you can get out of the contract if you act within 5 business days.

FIRST BEWARE VILLA touts their terrific SAN DIEGO interaction with owners. Yet after a certified letter , nine emails and three calls to the ''office '' eg. resort, nevada , s.diego... 67 days later we spoke to someone in authority.
2. im currently in a prime San Diego time share resort. their in house specialist. Licensed broker. ... has never heard of the villa group of San Diego.?>?
3. THEY CANCELLED OUR contract , charged and disputed on a credit card.... NO dispute on Villa' s part. Now, Villa told chase bank, FORGET IT NO money returned even on a cancelled contract. B E W A R E...

"Magnifique!"

I am considering buying a resale contract that is supposedly Villa del Arco. But as I research it looks like you really get a membership to reserve at any of the Villa Group mexico properties, and do have any priority at Villa del Arco.
Not sure I like this. any help?

You are absolutely correct. You are not buying an ownership at villa del arco. You are buying a Universal Vacation Ownership. When I owned one, Del Arco was fairly new and you had to book a year or more out. With a Gold Winter you can use it all year long but February and March are wonderful in Cabo.

run for the northern border...usa... Trump just finally paid out... on his swindle in mexico.
the ARCO seems invisible... now we find AAA club is booking hotel rooms at the BAJA area resort... so timeshare owners good luck in finding ANY reservation.
we re just suing to get back our deposit. the contract was finally cancelled by a non-licensed usa representative. our contract didnt match the term sheet, a FRAUD. RUN FAST. YOU may not get the beauty you see.

Hi,
I am in the process of canceling my contract in which I was able to do within the 5 business day period, but they are refusing to refund my deposit back due to the "liquidated damages" clause they have in the contract stating that they may keep all money paid up to date. Do you have any advice on how I can potentially get my deposit back??
