Mayan Palace behind the golf course? Are new units off the beach now and Grand Mayan in front????

Acapulco Mayan _ Can anyone confirm that all new units are being built off ocean and behind golf course? I have heard the complex is about 1/2 mile-1 mile from the beach. I have heard no beach front Mayan Palace, that Grand Mayan rules there, and that they have placed the location of Mayan Palace way back so members will be forced to upgrade to Grand Mayan if they want to be close to the main pool and beach. Is this the case? Thank you.

Mayan Palace is behind the golf course, the Palace has a fabulous pool and entry, but you need to take the Mayan shuttle to get to the beach, 5-10 min., the grand is by the beach, it was hard to get groceries, since you had to take a taxi when I was there 2010, $5.00 US each way,
