Need general information about the area around PDSG.

We will be going to PDSG in March or April. We know down town Puerto Vallarti (as much as tourists get to know a town) because we have stayed at Playa Del Sol Costa Sur several times. Will try PDSG this time. Would welcome your comments such as off site restaurants close to PDSG. Is there a town closer than P.V. Do you recommend getting a rental car? How can I contact the Concierge? Email, Fax, or ? The last time I called, I got nothing but Spanish. Any other comments or information would be appreciated. Grandydon

Is this the resort a couple doors down from the LaPa LaPa Hotel ? If not can you tell me what is close to it.
