going to stt in june.. does the resort offer excursions where the tours pick you up at the hotel? Is there a charge for the water taxi to town? can you use the beach at the timeshares if you are staying at the hotel? ?all public beaches?

I stayed there last year and some excursions will pickup at the hotel, but most require a taxi ride or car. I had a car and it was rarely used, but better than relying on a taxi.
Water taxi is about $6 if I remember correctly.
All beaches are technically public, but the facilities would not be. I liked morningstar beach better than the time share beach.

Where do you catch the water taxi? Does it only have one destination/stop before it returns, or are there multiple stops?

The water taxi runs from the dock at the Reef hotel to the dock at CA near the AH Rihse shops. It might stop at Yacht Haven Grande if a request is made. It runs every hour on the 1/2 hout. Last pickup in CA is 1630.
