I am an owner that uses Redweek to rent out my units. I often place units on Redweek that were booked through exchange companies & am not eligible for the verified option. I would like to see an option, supported by Redweek, that would enable a renter of a unit advertised on Redweek to place the payment amount in an escrow account until a certain amount of days after the vacation has been taken. That way, a person placing their week for rent would be able to utilize this choice for units booked through exchange companies. The people renting the unit would have the knowledge that their money will be held by Redweek until after they have checked in. I find that people who inquire about my rental do not feel secure enough to complete the rental transaction with me because they do not have any way of feeling secure that they will actually receive the vacation after sending the money. Please Redweek, those of us who utilize our exchange companies to book reservations to place on Redweek, need a secure option for our renters to feel safe in submitting their payment. You have made it not possible to utilize any form of payment through you for cases such as these. Please consider changing this.

We are not able to verify and protect exchange weeks because it is against the policies of both Interval International and RCI to rent out weeks obtained through their system. They allow members to gift weeks with a guest certificate, but both companies prohibit renting them out.
