Buying, Renting, and Selling Timeshares

How do I go about selling my timeshare

Feb 07, 2021

I have a Las Vegas time share for week 17 on the odd years. Asking for help With how to sell this. We contacted another timeshare seller and they wanted thousands up front , I read horror stories.

A Las Vegas timeshare probably has some resale value . I own one on the strip and I love it . Try listing it for sale on Redweek and other sites . Try some of your local papers . Someone just might be interested in buying it . A little effort goes a long way .

Hi Debbie M, I also own in Las Vegas. You don’t need to pay anyone large amounts of money upfront to get you out of your timeshare.

Your resort owners/members probably have a Facebook page. Owners usually post weeks for rent/sale/wanted/give away, etc. You could post an ad there.

Other sites to post at:

Good site for advice and tips:

Some people post on eBay and Craigslist, but that is something I haven’t done yet.

Helpful information to include in you advertisement:

Resort - name, address and contact info & website Unit size - bedrooms/bedrooms, include if it has a view, a balcony, season, w/d, lock-off, elevator in building, etc Is it a fixed week, floating week, which season, is it every other year or triennial What major exchange company or companies is the resort affiliated with, and how many points does it get How far ahead do you have to reserve your unit?

I’m sure I’m missing some so hopefully others will jump in.

Note: Please do not post ads in the timeshare forums. If you want to add a timeshare posting, go here.
