Traveling to Mexico – Share Your Thoughts

We love the Mexican resorts and people. Always feel safe. You just cannot get service like they provide anywhere in the states. We truly feel pampered and relax totally when there. We never had been until Covid. We went 7 times in two years just to get away from the shutdowns here at home in the States. The planes and airports were empty and it was a treat. Just returned from Cabo where we spent 10 days at La Pacifica a Hilton timeshare. Exceptional.

Vedanta charges outrageous resort fees. A few years ago it was $600 for a week. If you went to the timeshare presentation you got a $300 credit in the restaurants there.

When did La Isla put a casino in there? Thanks!

The non all inclusive resorts are getting harder to find. If you trade your week or look at RCI you should always click on the resort if it listed twice. Each will have different resort codes. Sometimes it says all inclusive, but when you actually bring up the resort it will say optional al inclusive.

Also the suggestion about renting from owners is top notch. I own several contracts at a boutique resort in Playa Del Carmen the Sunset Fishermens Resort and Spa all my rentals are not AI although some people book AI when they arrive, which I have no idea why lol.

Same goes for a few resorts in Cabo San Lucus if you exchange through RCI or Interval International you can find non AI resorts.
