You can also advertise for free on Timeshare Users Group (aka "TUG"; tugbbs.com) that has a free timeshare giveaway thread. There, you can advertise for free that you want to give your unit away.

Also, have you tried writing to the resort's Homeowners' association asking if it will take your unit back?

I would not recommend any "affordable company" to buy your unit or to exit you from your timeshare. Those are usually, if not always, scams.
