1 of a kind resort on Medano Beach. Designed by renowned Newport Beach architect Ed Giddings. Lush landscaping, beautiful, remodeled units scattered throughout the grounds similar to casitas. 2 pools, award winning on site restaurant, minimarket and coffee lounge. Daily housekeeping and unmatched service. More of a family resort versus a party scene.

I've stayed at this resort many times. I've stayed in the Perlitas, a Bahia and a Perla. Of course the Perla is amazing. When staying in the Perla, we had people in the resort over for dinner and we cooked the fish (in the huge kitchen) that was caught that day. We fit 21 people in our unit for dinner and did not feel crowded. The living room is so large and it opens out to the patio that also has tables. The pool and jacuzzi is on the 2nd floor and we were behind the owner's unit and even though the Hotel Bonito Rose is beside us, there are trees that surround the pool and lots of privacy. I love this place and have always looked forward to going back again and again!

We have been going to Club Cascadas for 15 years. Once you are there, you are transformed. The beach is wonderful and the water safe for swimming. This is not a hotel but villas with 4-5 units. But because it is small, you get to know many people. There are 3 & 4 generations that come each year. Cabo is just close enough for those who enjoy the night life and shopping but just far enough away,

We have been multiple week owners at Club Cascadas since 2002. We were fortunate to have originally traded into Cascadas with a Tahoe timeshare that we also own back in 1998 and fell in love with this incredibly unique jewel of Baja. We haven't missed a year since! This is a quiet, peaceful and beautiful setting for a romantic, relaxing vacation directly on Medano Beach within a short walking distance of all the fun in Cabo San Lucas. This resort also has the best view of Land's End and the famous arch. Your days are filled with activity if you choose or a lazy day under a palapa on the beach. It is the best of both worlds in our opinion.

Club Cascadas is the greatest vacation experience I have ever had. The very best Location, architecture, service, quiet, warm and accomodating resort in Cabo. Located within walking distance from town, "The Office" (beach restaurant a must), on Medano beach looking at the beautiful and famous rock formations of "lands end" and "lovers beach". I highly recommend!!!

This resort is the most beautiful place in Cabo. A widely travelled friend who came with me, someone who has stayed at many beautiful resorts on different oceans, said this was one of the most beautiful beaches she had ever seen. Club Cascades is an uncrowded resort, quiet, and peaceful. The builder/architect clearly built this with a conscious intent to use the land and the location respectfully.

From the lounge chairs on the beach, you can look across the bay at the beautiful and famous rock formations. A water taxi costs a few dollars and will take you there to snorkel. It's a short walk to a shopping center and food markets. The on-site restaurant has good food and is on the beach. A really wonderful, non-pretentious resort.

Unbelievable, secluded, quaint, nothing like it in Cabo. These villas were featured on the cover of Architectural Digest. The canopies in the bedrooms are so romantic with the candles. If you are looking for a quiet vacation with plenty of pampering; this is it. It is what Mexico is portrayed in the commercials. Only 85 units on site, so very difficult to try and get into it. The thing I like the most is they don't allow for any loud noise after 10 pm at night....love that. I would go back in a minute.

This is truly an exceptional resort. I have been an owner here for several years. We own a unit that is on the side of the Pueblo Bonito Rose and can honestly say that there is no obstruction or noise associated with the resort next door as the previous reviewer mentioned. Our unit is on the third and fourth floor and looks directly above the Pueblo Bonito towards the west for a beautiful sunset every night.

The complex is tropical, clean and magnificently maintained. The restaurant at the resort is delicious and moderately priced. The in room private chef is a must as is the spa. You truly have never experienced a true vacation until you have stayed at Club Cascadas.

I could go on and on and just cannot say enough about this resort.

As a longtime owner of this great place all I can say is it's the Best of the Best in Cabo. For those who read all the postings here, let me explain the circumstances behind this resort and its development: Club Cascadas was developed by Edward Giddings in the late 1980's and sold mostly through about 1992. It consists of several 'designer' style villa buildings and a tower building at the back of the resort furthest from the beach. Pools and lush gardens fill the grounds and the lack of televisions and telephones is a welcome respite from being Stateside. Originally, Giddings' plan included development of a boat launch and marina on land that is now the Pueblo Bonito Rose timeshare. Giddings did own the land. He never intended for the gorgeous sunset views at Club Cascadas to be compromised. But sadly he passed away at an early age in 1994, leaving his wife and sons to carry on in his absence. His wife Patricia still has a home on site and is seen there regularly, as are her sons and their families. However, the land development master-planned by Ed didn't take place and the family sold that land to Pueblo Bonito. It is my understanding that they were told that the views were not going to become obstructed - but big business took over and now about 25% of the units have a view of the back of 'El Pinko' (as another poster referred to it). Having stayed at 'EP' on an exchange with one of my RCI weeks, I can tell you it's a nice place, but it's NO Club Cascadas. Thank God Ed Giddings was the visionary he was and that the legacy he left us lives on in his 2 masterpieces, the Club Cascadas de Baja in Cabo, and the wonderful Ocho Cascadas in Puerto Vallarta. They truly are the BEST of Mexico!

I'm glad most people who have written reviews here love Cascadas - we do too! And what they say is all true.

Have stayed here twice in the Luna (third floor 6000+ sq ft penthouse right on the beach) as guests of my brother and will be back again next January.

Loved it so much we bought our own Magdalena villa behind the architect's private residence on the beach. We're hoping that "El Pinko" next door will only restrict our view, not eliminate it. We'll find out in November!

Any place that causes us to part with our money has to be nice, and Cascadas is. There is plenty of activity in town (a modest walk away) or on the beach in front of the resorts between Cascadas and town, but the resort is an island of peace and calm.

If you're a news junkie, CNN plays on a big screen TV in the clubhouse - otherwise it's the splash of water or tequilla at the low-key swim-up bars in either the front or back pool that sets the rhythm for a relaxing, revitalizing stay.

This resort has so much character! The architecture is like nothing you have seen before! Each unit, no matter it's size, is unique not only in design but in the extras!

This is such a beautiful way to enjoy Cabo without being hounded by on-site sales people or being stuck in a high rise.

If you have the chance you MUST stay at this resort!

Club Cascadas is a lovely place to stay. The architecture is fantastic and location is great. We stayed in a second floor two bedroom unit. (The horse's head: Escondido?)

The only negative was hearing other guests voices late at night and the maintenance men over at Pueblo Bonito Rose clanking tools and ladders at 6:00am. Running the air conditioner at night kept the noise from being a significant problem.

We are interested in staying at Club Cascadas again. We have a time share at Sol Mar and already come to Cabo each year.

Outstanding resort in Cabo. Directly on Playa Medano which is safe for swimming. The villas are exquisite if you are not in the main building which is farthest away from the beach. Have stayed here 3 times already and am ready to go back again. Staff is helpful and courteous. Most speak English. Two pools, restaurant right on the beach and a lovely club house. No tv's or phones in units.

The caveat: I have not stayed here, but I have stayed several times at Pueblo Bonito Rose ("PBR"), which is right next door. I must pick a rating or I can't post this, so am going with the middle of the pack - reminder, I haven't stayed there.

Cascades has breathtakingly gorgeous architecture. It's the most amazing looking place I've ever seen and I'm sure it's won awards. However, they made a HUGE mistake by not buying or leasing the land on which Bonito Rose now stands to maintain more privacy for their resort. Walking to our rooms to PBR, we would stare down at the terraces & pools of the rooms at the back of the resort; if drapes had been open, we could have looked into some of the rooms. I felt sorry for the people who had rooms right up against PBR, which is massive, especially from the back. All foot traffic for PBR is at the back of its resort; it is U shaped, with one long side(on the left as you face the ocean) sharing a property line with Cascades.

The person who posted before me is right; across the street from PBR and Cascades is a dusty field that sometimes contains a few skinny horses standing in the shade of some scrubby trees. If the brisk rate of development that's going on there keeps on going, I expect the dusty lot will become something else in due time.

There were some nice qualities to this resort (the grounds and service in restaurant) but if you end up exchanging a one bedroom here be aware! You will be in a small "hotel type" room at the back of the resort that overlooks a dirt field and is VERY noisy. It definitely was not the "five star villa" atmosphere we though we were going to get.

Tropical setting with five star service. No telephones or televisions in the units help make this a romantic vacation to remember. Gormet dinner on the beach is a must, as is the floating chef service. The resort chef will come to your unit and prepare a fantastic meal for you and your friends for around $25 plus food cost.
