Swallowtail at Sea Pines Resort Reviews & Ratings

We have owned these two holiday weeks at Swallowtail since 1998 and have truly enjoyed our time in Sea Pines over the years. The units are ideally located just 1.5 miles from Harbour Town and directly across the street from the Shops at Sea Pines, making everything easily accessible.

Recently, we purchased a residence in Harbour Town and, as a result, no longer have a need for these weeks. Rather than let them go unused, we would love to pass them on to someone who can create their own special family traditions here during the Christmas and New Year season.

Swallowtail needs to really do something about replacing Spectrum as the cable television provider for the television sets in the villas!!! Whoever came up with the idea of Spectrum needs to be fired!!! Spectrum is terrible . . . and the entire set up simply for accessing television channels is unnecessarily cumbersome, convoluted, and just plain ridiculous!!! When coming to a time share for a week's vacation, nobody has the time nor the patience to have to spend time trying to access a television channel and program that one wants to view!!! In short, Swallowtail should go back to a much simpler cable television system for the villas!!!

this spacious villa is in walking distance to the famous lighthouse and Harbour Town where you could rent a boat, take a boat over to Savannah and a lot of boat activities! Eat the famous Quarterdeck, Or crazy crab, coffee shops, Plenty of delightful stories to shopping! Across the street you have a French café, A fresh market, A workout gym, And another fabulous restaurant! Bikes are available to ride to the beach and walked Miles on the ocean! Best beach ever! Spending Christmas here you’ll be building a lot of memories

Great location near Harbor Town. The unit is on a Golf Course and the back porch overlooks 7th hole.

Centrally located in Sea Pines resort. Halfway between Sea Pines beach and Harbourtown. Trolley stop located across the street fro condo. Great place to be during the 4th!! Walking distance to fireworks at Harbourtown. No need to hassle with shuttles for the 4th.

This townhouse unit sleeps 7 people and is one of the largest 2 Bedroom units on Hilton Head Island. It has 2 sleeper couches and 2 Bedrooms. The Master suite upstairs is especially private and well appointed.

Additionally, the location within Sea Pines Plantation is right on Lighthouse Road, across from the shopping center and grocery store. Also, it's a short bicycle ride to the Beach Club and Harbor Town, and it's a very short ride to 3 golf courses including Harbor Town Golf Links, Pete Dye's Heron Point Course, and Davis Love III's Atlantic Dunes Course. The main bicycle path runs right through the Swallowtail property making access to Harbor Town, the Beach Club, and shopping center most convenient.

Great Resort in Seapines, close to everything, great pool and hot tub. Love staying here.

Recently renovated villa with a full sized washer and dryer. Comfortable beds, all linens and well equipped kitchen. Looks out on the Heron Point golf course's 13th hole. Grills and a pool/hot tub are a great way to relax after exploring or spending a day t the beach. Easy walk to restaurants across from the villa and to HarbourTown. Beautiful bike paths and beach. Great golf within the Sea Pines resort.

Two-floor layout provides lots of family space and privacy.

We used to own a vacation home in Sea Pines ... this is much easier and more enjoyable than having to maintain and worry about property. The golf course views and proximity to HarbourTown, the Beach Club, and Sea Pines Center make this a perfect getaway home for us. And we get to stay in our same villa every year. We're really glad we bought 2 weeks in Swallowtail!

We are Marriott owners and stayed at Swallowtail about ten years ago when it was a Marriott property. We just finished our second week at Swallowtail and had a great time. This is not one of the new glitzy resorts with the massive pools, convenience store or Starbucks, but it is a great resort. The location is great; located in Sea Pines about a mile from Harbour Town and a mile from the beach. Beach access isn't a problem, because Sea Pines has a great beach park with restaurant, life guards, bathrooms and outdoor showers. We had no problem finding a parking space the entire week. Sea Pines has miles of bike baths, so you can get anywhere on bikes. Bike rentals were available right across the street at the Sea Pines Center. The units are large by modern timeshare standards. At one time we had four teenagers and two adults and didn't feel at all cramped. There were two fold out couches, two singles and a king in the master. We would definitely stay at Swallowtail again.

Marriott totally renovated resort in 2002. The interior view picture shown on this page is an old one. All furniture replaced. Located conveniently between Harbour Town and Beach, cental to every amenity in Sea Pines. On site pool. Very spacious villas.

The units are spacious and quiet at night. The Sea Pines location gives you great access to everything the Island has to offer. If you like golf, biking, beaches, tennis, great restaurants, 24 hour security, Harbor Town and fishing, this resort is for you.

This resort is small. It is set in Sea Pines Plantation which offers a multitude of activities from bike riding to kayaking to listening to music in a rocking chair at Harbor Town.

The resort has been refurbished and all the units have been uplifted with new kitchens from cabinets to tile, new furniture, paint outside. The job was done with Marriott overseeing the work. So it is beautiful.

The resort is not on the beach but a five minute walk, bike ride or trolley ride away. Restaurants are right across the street as is a small convenience store.

The resort will be under new management come December 2003. Many say it will now get the attention it deserves!

Older resort, 38 units in total. All units are dedicated 2 bedroom units. Resort is on the Sea Pines Ocean Golf course. All units were refrubished in 2002, so they are practically new.

Unit has one bed/one bath, kitchen and living room downstairs. The unit has one bed/one bath and "bonus" living area upstairs. Total sleeping capacity of the unit is 6 private, 8 non -private. The resort has a pool, whirlpool, and shuffleboard. No other amenities, though it is within a few blocks of the ocean.
