Daytona Beach Regency Reviews & Ratings

We love the Presidential Suite at the Regency. It is on the top floor and it is the Regency's most spacious & deluxe unit, plus all its rooms have high ceilings with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the ocean, pool area & beach.The activity directors, Barb & Andrew, do a great job and other staff members are always efficient & friendly too. Their Tiki Hut serves tasty snacks & drinks and many other restaurants are in walking distance. The Regency is our favorite resort on the beach.

Been staying here for 15 years. Is the best place in Daytona to stay. Has otdoor pool and jacuzzi. Has Indoor pool and jaccuzi. Fitness room. Business Room. Game room. Vending machines for movies,snacks,drinks and ice cream. Has a jumbo tron TV that they put up out by the pool for movies and the races. Has the best Tiki bar in town, with the best drinks,food and prices. Last year every night they had a band out by the pool.Has activities going on daily for kids and adults. There is no driving on the beach in this area,so it is really nice for the kids to run around and you don't have to worry. They have chair,umbrella and bike rentals on the beach.Parasailing and banana rides.Volleyball on the beach goes on all the time. Boardwalk is just steps away,they are always having bands and drivers there. The boardwalk has a large 12 screen movie theater, Bubba Gump's restaurant and several other fine dining restaurants. Daytona Lagoon is right acroos the street,it has a huge waterpark with slides a lazy river and go-karts,gamerooms,putt-putt golf. There is a Widd-Dixie and Publix just minutes down the street. I-HOP is right across the street.Their staff is very pleasant and will do whatever possible to accomadate you. We have met life long friends from there. Some we get to see every summer here. The kitchens are fully equipped with utensils,plates,galsses,pots,pans,blender,coffee maker,toaster,microwave,fridge,stove,oven,dishwasher and garbage disposal. They have TV's and DVD player in all bedrooms and living room. Master bedroom has a jaccuzzi tub plus a full bathroom. Free washer and Dryer. Beds are super comfortable.We have slept 10 people in a 2 bedroom before.There is plenty of room for air mattresses. The couch also makes out into a bed and is comfortable.

This is one of our favorite resorts. We have visited in the last week of May/early June for three years in a row, twice on the top floor where the views are fantastic and the rooms are very plush. The staff is EXCELLENT. The ocean is only steps away. The Oceanwalk area is always fun. Buba Gumps, Coldstone, and many other shops. The boardwalk is a few steps away. The BEACH IS EXCELLENT. We will miss next year as we have a trip to Sedona/Las Vegas/Utah planned. But we will be back the following year. Well worth the money to stay here. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

We were here for a week in Jan 2009. This is now a Diamond Resort and they have been renovating/upgrading. They were not quite done in January, but the place was very nice. The kingsize bed was very comfortable. Large bathroom. Well stocked kitchen. We were on the north side of the building. While we had a nice ocean view, our immediate view was a dilapadated, empty former motel/resort. I know the DBR can't do anything about the neighboring property, but it is pretty ugly. Free parking in garage under resort. Inside and outside pool and hot tub. Decent exercise/workout room. Ten minute walk to the Ocean Walk complex with Bubba Gump's restaurant and a 10 screen movie theatre. The beach is the best in Daytona because the cars are not permitted to drive in this section. This makes it great for families with children. Very friendly staff. Tike Restaurant by pool on property had some pretty good food at reasonable prices. Only complaint was that WiFi internet was supposed to be available in the units but I was not able to log on all week. Free WiFi in the lobby was great.

On a great stretch of Daytona Beach in the no-drive zone but near enough to the drive zone walk on the beach to rent bikes, quad runners, etc. The Oceanwalk building next door is very close and may limit oceanview on the north side of the building but not entirely. Pool area/hot tub great. Scheduled activities enjoyable. Units are a little tight on size but cover the basics. Grocery store about 5-10 mins drive.

AWESOME RESORT - GREAT LOCATION - FRIENDLY - POOLSIDE ENTERTAINMENT, DAY & NIGHT. OCEAN WALK (NEXT DOOR), EAT YOUR HEART OUT!! JUST CAME BACK LAST SATURDAY & I MISS IT ALREADY. WALK TO THE BOARDWALK, SHOPS, MOVIES.. OR JUST RELAX TO GUITAR BY THE POOL. FANTASTIC!!

I stayed here July of 2006. I loved it. The resort has a locked gate separating the beach from their outdoor pool and hot tub. This keeps the pool and amenities for the use of the guests only. They have a decent outdoor slide for the kids in the pool. There is a food and drink pavilion next to the pool where the drinks and food are good and priced reasonably. The hotel gives you daily thick towels for the beach and pool usage. The beach is in awesome shape and one plus is that the beach in front of the resort is closed to traffic. Most other parts of Daytona Beach allow cars to drive on the beach. Because of this, the beach in front of the hotel is not very crowded. There are lounge chairs and huge umbrellas available on the beach for daily rental. Parasailing is available only about 500 feet away from the beach entry. There is an excellent diner across the street and I-Hop also. For better dining head to the pier only about 1/2 mile away, easy walk. A 12 theater movie house is also located by the pier. I had such a great time that I am going next year.

I have stayed here twice, both times during spring break. Great views from the room--nice balcony and wonderful sound of the surf. This is right on the beach ad the pool overlooks the ocean. Facility is right next to a mall, with movie theatres, good restaurants, etc. Also, just a couple blocks from the pier and arcade area. Wonderful wide beach--where speed trials used to be held. You can rent a ATV to drive on part of the beach--great beach activity on the weekend, nice and quiet during the week.
