Captain Morgan's Vacation Beach Club Reviews & Ratings

I so much wanted to give this a 5 star rating: the beach, pool, restaurant all could have been exceptional. We had a very nice time, two couples enjoying a week of scuba, drinking, and eating. All these issues are so easy to correct:

1) Our request for water in our room was denied; we had to haul 5 gallon water jugs about 100 yards to our room. 2) The waterfront was consumed by sargassum seaweed. Other resorts hired workers to remove the seaweed by truck for landfill. 3) Although the room was designed to accommodate six, there were only three forks and no saucepans; the restaurant accommodated us by loaning us a saucepan. We had to loan our toaster to a neighbor whose unit lacked a toaster. An overly strict sounding note in our kitchen warned us not to steal the kitchen items as a fine of 75$ would be levied. 4) The pool bars were (permanently?) closed so we brought our own drinks. A giant casino in the center of the property was also (permanently?) closed. Abandoned construction of a new building on-site. I suspect this resort used to be amazing and has been allowed to deteriorate by new management. It certainly is not a 4 star resort.

Very spacious and well appointed rooms in a classically tropical setting with beach and pools, in a less crowded and intimate environment and easy access to town of San Pedro as well as restaurants of nearby resorts.

The friendliest people I know and English is their first language. It’s all medium rustic but the resort is fine. The timeshare is a one bedroom with full kitchen and a lock off studio that can be traded separately for two weeks trade power.

We have been owners since 2012 and have been back every other year since that time The resort and staff are excellent Many updates have been made at the resort in the past few years to include expanding the owners pool are, updating rooms and updating the Full service restaurant and bar on site The resort has a activities desk for snorkeling tours, scuba diving, catamaran excursions and many others.

All you would expect from a five-star beach resort. Beautiful ocean and surroundings. In addition, snorkeling, diving, excursions, restaurant, bars, and even a casino. Other restaurants and even a starbuck-like cafe within short distances. The "in" place on Ambergris Cay.

Captain Morgan's is located on beautiful Ambergris Caye, Belize @2.5 miles north of San Pedro. On site restaurant and several nearby restaurants offer dining options. On site store and unit kitchen provides dine-in flexibility. Very beautiful and relaxing location.

Lovely tropical beachfront resort offering excellent dining, 3 swimming pools, snorkeling and local casino on site. Relaxing atmosphere with golf cart or water taxi access to the town of San Pedro.

Captain Morgan's is the jewel of Ambergris Caye. Beautifully kept up, self contained, but do enjoy San Pedro town, local crafts and all the eateries it has to offer. Truly a friendly place, has kept me coming back every year for 20 years, and yes they remember your name!

Just returned from Captain Morgans. Beautiful place, friendly people. We had an awesome view from our fourth floor window. Only drawback was, difficult to get hot water up there.Would definitely stay again!

Arrived the second week in July. Fabulous beachfront resort. If you are looking to avoid the crowds of Aruba and other Caribbean island this is the place. Accomodations and staff were 5 star. Beautiful beach, with diving, snorkling, and trips to the Mayan ruins available right from the dock. Great restaurant at the resort as well as others close by.

It feels like you're in a Corona commercial with the view on this beach!

We also felt very at home with the staff as well as the owners themselves.

It is such a comfortable relaxing environment. The resort provides opportunites to go diving, snorkling, deep sea fishing, sea-kayaking and more!

The resturant chef cooked up the fish we caught right when we got in from our fishing trip! What a feast!

Amazing resturants all over the island. We ate well. Delicious food.

Very safe environment as well. A friend we made there had left her purse in the taxi on the mainland but easily recovered it with the help of the locals! This place is SO much BETTER than anywhere we've been!!!

We've been timeshare owners for 7 years and have visited many locations, including Europe - these units are without a doubt the very nicest we have seen anywhere!
