The Westin St. John - Bay Vista Villas Reviews & Ratings

I have to disagree with the comments below about the Westin Resort Villas that are across the road and up the hill (the "hillside units") compared to the Bay Vista Villas. The "hillside units" are much older (built around 20 years ago or more) than the Bay Vista Villas that are almost new and are on the main Westin Resort site. Even though the hillside units have been renovated there are still issues with AC units and other things. Since the hillside units are remote and across the road it is quite a hike to get to the main resort with the pool, beach, and restaurants. If you get a hillside unit you really need to rent a car which is expensive on St John and recognize that going back and forth to the pool or beach will not be convenient. Also don't be fooled by Hillside units that are listed under "Bay Vista" Villas which they are not. Ask if they are actually Bay Vista Villas or not.

Westin St John is the premier destination in the Vistana (Westin/Sheraton) portfolio. St. John is a small island, and the Westin is the only top line hotel, so you always feel like an elite traveler. There are scores of places to swim and snorkel on the island, and it's been our experience to sometimes be the only people on one of the remote beaches. Rent a Jeep and enjoy the sunshine, serenity, and the many fine restaurants.

Beautiful Resort with a beach right out front. Local transportation to town readily available. Staff is Alway super friendly and helpful.

Beautiful resort on St. John USVI, 90% of the island is a US National Park, great for hiking and beaches. Minutes from Cruz Bay for dining and nightlife. Easy taxi in to town. Great food at poolside Snorkels resturant, elegant bayside dining at Lemongrass. Very difficult to book unless you are an owner. Fantastic vacation opportunity.

Beautiful resort. Every room is spacious very clean up-to-date. Each has a balcony with beautiful views of the bay. Nestled on top of the hill, beautiful views all over- pool is great with a pool bar, restaurants on resort property with gift shop and deli. Spa and gym. Taxi service available to town. Rental car office on property also. Resort also offers ferry service from airport- call ahead to book. St. John island is beautiful to explore , town is safe and fun, great restaurants, beautiful beaches to explore on land or on a boat, lots of water activities available if you have not been - family friendly place and Westin is the best resort on the island.

Great resort on great island and beaches. Resort itself has fantastic pool and beach. Nearby Cruz Bay with great restaurants, bars and shops. Resort staff pleasant and helpful.

The Westin St John is a perfect place for families, especially with young children. The pool is fabulous with the food and drink service which is always good. This unit 2412 is located within the resort and a short walk down your path to the main pool. Car rental service on the premises or take a Westin taxi to the beaches or to town. There’s even a kids club where your child can spend the day and enjoy other children. Perfect family vacation

The most beautiful resort on St. Johns! We have been going here for years, its one of our favorite places ever! The staff is amazing and the views are just breathtaking!

We fell in love with St. John the moment we stepped ashore . Its a beautiful island with lots of fun activities, beautiful beaches, fun restaurants, and amazing views.

This is one of the most beautiful resorts I have ever stayed at. The beaches and waters are by far the most gorgeous I have seen on an island. There is so much to do during the day and in the evening. Everyone is very pleasant and I never felt unsafe. The island vibe on St Johns is amazing!

These units are much preferred. They are on the same side of the street as the lobby, tennis, main pool, beach and restaurants. Convenient to all the amenities and no hike up the hill. The bathrooms are amazing and the beds 'heavenly'.

The most beautiful beaches and Westin resort is immaculate. Shuttles can be taken to off site restaurants, beaches, downtown shopping area right from the resort. Restaurants on site are great . Huge pool and beach at the resort. Gorgeous landscaping with local flowers and palm trees

One of my favorite places on Earth, the Westin St John! Our 2BR unit in Bay Vista is perfect for people who want all of the amenities of the property but a little peace a quiet away from the pool area - and incredible views from 2 balconies. Stroll down to the bay for the beach and restaurants or relax by the pool; grab a free shuttle into town or explore the amazing beaches across the island; visit the many historic sites or consider a cruise around USVI and BVI - you won't find a more beautiful area to vacation!

This resort has long been my favorite. St John is absolutely amazing and the Westin is the only way to go. The property is incredible - from the huge resort pool, private beach, well manicured grounds, direct ferry service, convenience of a walking distance grocery store, on-site amenities that include a rental car agency .... it HAS IT ALL!!!

We had the best vacation ever! The resort location is perfect on Cruz Bay. The Westin has a lounge at the airport. You can check in there as well. Once you booked the reservation, the Westin concierge will send a form for transportation from the airport to the Westin ferry and to St. John. The ferry ride is about 15 minutes to the Westin Resort. The beach was clean and you can get the water card from front desk to do kayaking and paddle boarding for free. I recommend doing the sunset cruise and the snorkeling. The staff were friendly, most of them have been working there for over 10 years. It feels like a family. They always checked in and ensure we are happy. The sleeping and bedding were also super dreamy. The supermarket is a walking distance from the resort entrance. You can rent a car there or Westin taxi (price is per person). If you have more than four people I recommend to rent a car. Our favorite beach is Trunk bay and Honeymoon bay. The Scott beach is also our favorite but currently closed to public, you can get there by private boat.

This resort has an excellent reputation and it is well deserved. The weather and snorkeling is great! We took a kayak out and swam with the turtles in their natural habitat. The natural forest makes this island so beautiful.
