Resort is located on great private sandy beach across from the State Park along a city bus route. Easy access to everything in Traverse City. Great base to explore the area and all the variety of offerings available to just adults, and to families with kids - even in what some consider off season weeks. We stay two weeks every Jan-Feb even though we're too old to ski, and again several other weeks during the year as it's an easy drive from the Detroit area. Although it's a small (44 unit) older resort, The HOA and management with the support of the owners, have kept up with the times and are continuously making upgrades and keeping up with today's much higher standards of Timeshare Owners. Owners are very passionate about this resort and many own multiple weeks- we don't need to own a cottage up north - this fits the bill without all the other expenses and upkeep. All units face East Traverse Bay with balconies or patios - so great views of the bay and side shore line and a nice place for that early morning coffee. Fully supplied Kitchens help keep vacation costs down. There are Washers/Dryers on site if needed for longer stays. There are limited "resort" activities as there is so much to do in the area, but there is a great heated indoor pool and hot tub for rainy or cooler days. Resort website www. pinestead. com has more details. A hidden gem for Traverse City as there are very few locations with private beaches. Many say 'on the lake' --but you can't get to the water,

Pinestead Reef is a great resort on the Bay. All the rooms on right on the water so the view is great any time of the year. We stay at Pinestead at least 3 times every year. We check out all the shopping downtown as well as all the resale places. It doesn't matter about the weather. If it is warm enought, you can wade in Lake Michigan. There is an indoor pool and hot tub as well as exercise equipment. Traverse City is known for its wineries also. At night it is great to visit the Casinos!

All the rooms have a full kitchen with a full size refrigerator and stove.

The Pinestead Reef is located directly on East Grand Traverse Bay. The resort is beautifully kept and very comfortable with each room having either a balcony or patio on the bay. Traverse City has a vibrant and historic downtown. The surrounding area is a abundant with opportunities for all year outdoor activities, from visiting the many wineries on the Peninsula to a variety of championship golf courses to a night at the nearby casinos after a day climbing the dunes on Lake Michigan. Grand Traverse County is a true gem with something for everyone.

We have owned 2-2/2 wks here for 10 years and have stayed here several times. While not flashy, it is a beautiful, well maintained resort in a fantastic location. There is much to do and see in the area regardless of what time of year you visit.

Grand Traverse Bay is spectacular. The beach is delightful even if it is too cold to swim. The indoor pool is a good substitute. Parasailing takes off from next door. Seeing both East and West Bays at the same time from 800 ft. in the air is a worthwhile experience. Traverse City is a very cosmopolitan little city. The shoppng and dining are excellent.

Spring and Fall are our favorite times to visit, before or after the summer crowds.

It also exchanges well within RCI. We enjoy it so much, we just bought two more weeks.
