Update - May 2011. Just got back from another wonderful week at Bay & Beach. After 3 and a half years, I was able to buy a week and was in heaven the entire time. The place hasn't changed a bit, which is a good thing. The staff are as nice as they could possibly be. The beach was wonderful, and the upkeep and decor were fine. This is the best place to stay in the approximately 30-mile stretch of beach between Clearwater and St Pete Beaches. Quieter, less traffic, etc. Beaches uncrowded and beautiful, clear water. So much birdlife to watch - pelicans, herons, egrets, etc. The views are incredible, the decks on the units very big, and all are end units. I can't WAIT to return!

Dining Tips: The buffet at Sheppards on Clearwater Beach was pretty darn good, and not a bad price. Afterwards, the outdoor tiki bar was a fun place to stroll, have another drink, and listen to the reggae band. For a really great meal, try PJ's Oyster Bar, just off the main drag in Indian Rocks. No view, no atmosphere, just great, great seafood and steaks and fairly priced; nice service, too. That's the one place we know we will always return to.

Just returned from a wonderful stay in our spacious gulf-front unit. The place is clean and well-run. Close (though not really walking distance) to several restaurants. Pool area is small, but nice - and a very large hot tub. The only problem was noise noise noise - mostly from properties on either side. One was sandblasting their units, and the other, on one morning, was using an extremely loud weed eater. These were bothersome because they shattered the normal peace and quiet, but neither went on for too long. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would advise anyone considering a stay to try to get a unit off the street (either gulf-front or intracoastal waterway) as the units on the street will be subject to much traffic noise.

Along the beautiful beaches of Indian Shores, just a few short minutes from Tampa or St. Petersburg-Clearwater airports, Bay and Beach could be your private home away from home. Our Gulf unit sits right on the Gulf of Mexico. We've enjoyed the gorgeous sunrises from our balconey and sunsets at the tiki Hut. We enjoyed the quaint resort's facilities from the hustle and bustle. Large heated swimming pool, enormous hot tub, shuffleboard courts, beach volleyball and fishing pier/dock. Friendly staff that gives you your privacy, but answers your questions. A must visit. We have owned for years and are not disappointed.

The resort is located in a very pleasant area with tons of options: it is ocean-front, close to several good restaurants, minutes from Clearwater, Busch Gardens and the airport.

The beach is beautiful and large. My kids had a blast playing in the sand and surf.

We went to Orlando one day to go to Islands of Adventure and the drive was a reasonable 80 minutes one way. Busch Gardens is a lot closer and as good as a park if not better. We enjoyed all the shows, rides and animal exhibits.

After a day packed of activities, it was great to return to the resort and relax in its well equipped and comfortable unit.

I would come back to this resort without hesitation.

The units are very nice. Very well fitted out with everything you need. Very bright and spacious with lovely views. You can fish off the deck at the back of the unit. I stayed there in November last year and had a really good time. Not too busy.
